We are currently looking for individuals who are ready to take the next step and start a career with our team! The Lead Mechanic position plays an important role of guiding and supervision the maintenance team with day to day mechanical work.

Job Type

This position is full-time shift work led by a Manager.

What a Shop Lead does:

  • Works with a team of maintenance mechanics who perform maintenance and repair services on oil field workover rigs, light duty vehicles, and other equipment used by Key.
  • Prioritizes the day-to-day shop activities including scheduling mechanical work, preventative maintenance, monitoring equipment for performance and productivity, repair and rebuilding of machinery or mechanical components.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical challenges and giving direction to the maintenance staff.
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager to update them on the status of projects and advises on the order of parts.
  • There are always odds and ends tasks to be done, your Maintenance Manager may assign you with other duties from time to time.

What we need from you:

  • This is an experienced position! We would like it if you have seven (7) or more years of experience in as a mechanic or work in a similar capacity.
  • We would like for you to have knowledge skills for problem diagnosis and repairs on equipment, so you can lead and train mechanics and other shop employees!
  • Our working environment is fast paced! We need you to be able to work with the other members of the team to communicate and solve problems.
  • We need you to be able to work long hours and a long stretch of days (sometimes these days are holidays).
  • Everyone has rules to follow. We need you to follow our policies!
  • Safety is one of our top priorities! We need you to work safely and watch out for your co-workers. Key and our customers have made this easy for you by putting all the procedures down for you to review.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.
